The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at APGSU offers a bachelor’s course which focuses on food health of an individual. In the field of Nutrition and Dietetics we teach students how to prepare a proper diet for people, food management, components of a balanced diet, eating habits, and Lifestyle management, among others. Nutrition and Dietetics are fast-growing both as an academic discipline and in practical application, both in India and abroad. The curriculum is designed to focus equally on theoretical and practical in food science and basic dietetics, emphasizing skill sets required to analyze and provide a proper diet solution for various scenarios.
Some of the popular subjects students study include Human Physiology, Basic Nutrition, Family meal management, and more. Those interested in professionally working in the industry and find lucrative employment opportunities in private sector clinics and hospitals, or may get self-employed. Other areas of employment include private sector organizations such as leisure cruise companies and private nursing homes. Such graduates may also choose to become psychiatric nursing as a profession where they work with patients suffering from emotional and psychological distress caused by unhealthy diet patterns.

- Girls students of H.P. 25% in the semester fees.
- Ward of Army/Ex-serviceman/ Martyrs/War Widows- 15% in the semester fees.
- Wards of University employees- 25% in the semester fees.
- Differently abled child -50% in the semester fees.
- International / National Level Player in any sports – 25% in the semester fees.
- State-level player – 15% in the semester fees.
- Existing students from UG course to PG course – 25% in the first semester.
- Existing Students scoring A Grade & above – 5% in semester fee on each semester performance
- HP/Other States Govt. Scholarships – As per Govt. Policy for SC/ST.
