The program has been developed to offer eligible candidates advanced lessons in a course that concentrates on the technology and theoretical and practical knowledge behind visual communication, in terms of graphic designing, corporate branding, advertising, publishing, web design, etc. The Design Communication program encompasses web design for various merchandisers, creating advertisements for businesses, developing magazine layouts, or graphic designing for video games, typography, print design, data mapping, motion, sound, and spatial and environmental graphics. Students under this program learn art, design, and the appropriate technologies for conveying a visual message. The aspirants are equipped to cope with the challenges of communicating in the constantly evolving world of new media and communications technology. Some standard skills required in this program include creativity, knowledge of design techniques, familiarity with the various multimedia, and other relevant technical skills. This program allows the student to explore the communication imperative in a commercial environment and learn how to respond confidently to design problems. The program includes theoretical learning as well as practical hands-on experience. The students also avail the opportunity to participate in research activities relevant to design studies and interact with experts under this program.
