M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is a postgraduate mechanical engineering course which deals with the study of mechanics, statistics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science and structural analysis used in designing. The course helps a student to get a deeper knowledge of solids, materials, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, design of machine elements and many other concepts about machines and material. The mechanical engineering field needs core understanding areas of mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity. In short, this degree course mainly focuses on the study of the application of the principles of mechanics and energy to the design of machines and devices. Being a master’s student one is supposed to do a lot of research work in areas like thermal science and engineering, solid mechanics, dynamics, and control, etc. Anyone who is intrigued to know more about the design or maintenance, installation or working of machines after completing B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering can apply for M.Tech. in the Mechanical Engineering program.
