Radiography at APGSU offers diploma and bachelor’s course which focuses on the use of radiations for treatment of patients. 

They study multiple subjects during the course followed by hospital internship of one year duration. It is a paramedical course available to students who want to practice diagnostic tests. They use X-rays as part of this treatment that affect body’s internal organs.  

Students gain a thorough understanding of diagnostic and therapeutic radiography, which is helpful in the treatment of patients. Students with a good diploma or bachelors degree have good prospects to work as radiation protection specialists, X-Ray technicians, Physiotherapists, Diagnostic Radiographer, Therapy Radiographer, Scientific Assistants and many others.

Experts in the discipline frequently operate in areas like Accident and Emergency, Operation Theater, etc. They’ve been trained to take X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, among other things. Radiography is also utilized to treat cancer patients. It gives students a specialized understanding of the discipline of radiography, which involves creating photographs of interior body parts and then working on therapies for illnesses identified in those sections.

Criteria

Pass with 50% (GEN)/ 45% (SC/ST) aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology) subject to valid score in JEE(Main).
